Vasaloppet vanns av Paulo Siitonen. Stockholm open vanns av amerikanen Tom Gorman som slog Björn Borg i finalen. Svenska mästare i fotboll och Ishockey blev Åtvidabergs FF och Leksands IF. Bandyfinalen avgjordes på Söderstadion - Västerås vann! Wimbledon vanns av tjecken Jan Kodés. NHL Stanley cup vanns av Montreal Canadians. Engelska ligan vanns av Leeds United.
